Cake in a frying pan in 30 minutes – it turns out more tender than store-bought: recipe without oven

If you want to prepare a delicious dessert for tea without an oven or complex processes, this recipe is definitely for you. The dough is kneaded quickly and fried in a frying pan like pancakes. The cream is also made simply from available products. The result is a tender cake that melts in your mouth. The author of the Zen channel “Advice and Food” (12+) shared the details.

Ingredients

For the cakes:

  • 200 g flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 140 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 9 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Vanillin on the tip of a knife

For cream:

  • 300 g curd cheese
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • Vanillin to taste

For decoration:

  • 1 tbsp. l. condensed milk

How to cook

  • Beat eggs with sugar and salt until fluffy.
  • Add butter and warm milk, beat again.
  • Mix flour with baking powder and vanilla.
  • Gradually add to the liquid mixture and mix with a mixer. The dough will be airy and runny.
  • Heat a 22cm frying pan and lightly grease it with oil.
  • Pour in one ladle of batter and fry like thick pancakes on both sides. This quantity will make 7 cakes.
  • Stack them and cover with a towel to prevent them from drying out.
  • Trim the edges of the cakes around a 19 cm diameter plate. Save the trimmings for decoration.
  • For the cream, beat soft butter with powder and vanilla until white and fluffy.
  • Add curd cheese in portions and mix with a mixer. The cream will be thick and moderately sweet.
  • Set aside 1 tbsp. l. cream into a separate cup. Divide the rest into 8 parts.
  • Brush 6 cake layers with cream, placing them holey side up. Each will take approximately 1 tbsp. l. with a slide.
  • Cover the top and sides of the cake with the remaining cream and level with a silicone spatula.
  • Place the cake in the refrigerator for 5 or 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Grind the cake scraps into crumbs in a blender. Add the reserved cream and condensed milk, stir. The mass will become thick and plastic.
  • Roll out the crumbs between the film, cut out shapes: hearts, stars, circles.
  • Decorate the cake on the sides and top and serve.

This dough is also suitable for the oven. If you reduce the milk to 100 ml, you will get excellent pies with berries or jam.

Bon appetit!
