He is the seventh service member killed in action during Washington's Operation Epic Fury inside Iran.
Centcom noted that hostilities continue. The name of the deceased will be released once his family is notified.
On March 3, the American command reported six military personnel killed during attacks on Iran.

Context
On the morning of February 28, Israel and the United States announced a military operation in Iran (Israel called it “Lion's Roar”USA – “Epic Fury”). Trump announced his intention protect the American peopleeliminating threats from the Iranian regime.
They threatened in Tehran “crushing” blow in response and sent missiles and drones at several Middle Eastern countrieswhere there are American military bases – Qatar, Kuwait, UAE and Bahrain.
On March 1, Trump said that the military operation in Iran could last four weeks. Politico reported on March 5 that the US operation against Iran could last at least 100 days and would likely last until September.
The New York Times wrote that the United States spent about $6 billion in the first week of the war with Iran. Republican Senator Thom Tillis said in an interview with CNN that Trump must give the American people and the US Congress “clarity” about the operation in Iran and clearly formulate his “goals and objectives” because the American people doubt the advisability of US participation in the war in the Middle East.
