Mihai Bendeac criticizes feminist organizations for not intervening in the defense of Minister Oana Țoiu: “She was publicly humiliated”

Mihai Bendeac suggested that feminist organizations in civil society should have self-reported “in relation to the abuse to which she was subjected” Oana Țoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the online environment these days.
In a message sent on Saturday evening on Facebook in which he advertises the “abuse” and “harassment” to which the minister was subjected in the online environment, Mihai Bendeac shared images that he says were posted including by politicians and in which Oana Țoiu is ridiculed through a caricature on the subject of repatriates from the Middle East.
The actor suggested that an intervention from feminist organizations would have been necessary.
“Does anyone know if any feminist organization has self-reported these days in relation to the abuse to which a woman was subjected? I mean the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu. It has nothing to do with politics, I have never voted for the party she belongs to and I don't plan to. It is about the fact that we are dealing with abuse, public shaming, harassment. A woman was publicly humiliated. Thousands, maybe tens thousands of times”, declared Mihai Bendeac.
He said that those images “were posted by men (MPs, senators, politicians) and not only”.
“By the way, not only men have redistributed these posts. I ask if any organization has (self) reported it because it seems like something that should revolt you if you have any real sense of empathy towards women in general and towards this woman (actually mocked) in particular,” continued Mihai Bendeac.
Recently, the actor was accused by the feminist organization Centrul Filia of “harassing” a young woman after a screening of his film “City Boys” in Ploiesti. In response, Mihai Bendeac rejected the accusations of harassment and announced a complaint to the police against the NGO. Filia Center later deleted the post and apologized for speaking on behalf of the young woman.
Mihai Bendeac's post comes in the context in which Victor Ponta accused Oana Țoiu of trying to block the repatriation of his daughter – who has since returned to the country – from the Middle East. The head of Romanian diplomacy denied the accusations and said that there are “no reports indicating, anywhere in the world, that a minor has been dropped from transfers or flights organized by us or assisted by consular teams”.
