Ricardo Cadu (44 years old), the former central defender and captain of CFR Cluj, commented on the situation at FCSB and the involvement of boss Gigi Becali in the team's decisions. Cadu left CFR Cluj in 2014, after collecting 250 matches, 30 goals and two decisive assists in the shirt of the “railwaymen”.

The Portuguese retired in 2021, and from 2022 he works at Paços Ferreira in Portugal's second division, where he alternately held the roles of assistant coach, scout and sporting director.

Ricardo Cadu, about Gigi Becali's involvement at FCSB: “The coach is the coach, the boss is the boss”

The former captain from Gruia believes that the way the red-blue club is run raises many question marks and says that in a football club everyone must respect their role.

“At FCSB, as it is called now, it is always waiting for something to happen. What is happening there is really not normal, with a boss who wants to do everything. He says that he takes the team off the field, that the championship starts only after six rounds, he says all kinds of things that affect the club. And this despite the fact that they have a very good team. It's unbelievable what's happening at that club.

You are the boss, but you have to have football people by your side. Ok, Mihai Stoica knows football, but we need more collaborators in the team to be allowed to work. I would not go to a club where my work is not respected. As a coach, as a sports director, if you don't have authority and responsibility for the things you do, there's no point in struggling.

Every football player must have his job. The coach is a coach, the boss is a boss. That's all!“said Cadu, according to primasport.ro.

FCSB, for the first time in the play-out

The Romanian champion, FCSB, entered a negative statistic after missing the play-off qualification. The formation prepared by Elias Charalambous is the first champion in the history of the Superliga that fails to get the top six places.

At the same time, it is the first time in the club's history that FCSB misses the play-offs since the introduction of the current competition system 10 years ago.

However, the red-blues still have a chance to reach the European cups. The team can fight for the Conference League play-off, where the winner of the duel between the 7th and 8th places in the play-out will play in a single leg, on the field of the 3rd place in the play-off.
