Kaczyński reveals his cards. Przemysław Czarnek is the PiS candidate for prime minister

Przemysław Czarnek is the PiS candidate for prime minister. We must have a new government that will have the patriotic will to act in one direction: the great repair of the Republic of Poland, said PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński on Saturday in Krakow.

During the PiS convention at the Polish Gymnastic Society “Sokół” in Kraków, Kaczyński nominated the party's candidate for the office of prime minister in the next parliamentary elections. It was Przemysław Czarnek. In the same place, PiS announced its presidential candidates in the past: Andrzej Duda and Karol Nawrocki. Many PiS politicians are present at the convention, including party vice-presidents, including: former deputy prime minister, deputy head of PiS Mateusz Morawiecki and head of the PiS club Mariusz Błaszczak. The head of the Chancellery of the President, Zbigniew Bogucki, is also present.
Kaczyński assessed that the current government is not guided by Polish national interests. – If we want to get on the path to recovery (…) we must have a new government, a very good government. We must have a government that will have good, patriotic will, but will also have the ability – this is extremely important – but also the ability to act in one direction: the great repair of the Republic of Poland – noted the PiS president.
– We must once and for all end what someone (…) called party oikophobia, i.e. aversion to one's own homeland. We were able to create very good governments, he added.

PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński said on Saturday that the person who can make an effort to win the elections must be a person who is able to integrate all the party's activities.
– In these circumstances that we have in Poland today, in this situation that I consider difficult and challenging for us, but we have to take up this challenge and we have to win, ladies and gentlemen, we have to win, we have to create a new government. I am deeply convinced that such a person at this moment is Professor Przemysław Czarnek – said Jarosław Kaczyński.
He emphasized that the party must go to the elections together, united.
Czarnek: PiS is getting on an oiled high-speed train, of which I am supposed to be the driver
PiS candidate for prime minister, Przemysław Czarnek, emphasized on Saturday in Krakow that the party was boarding a well-oiled high-speed train to elect Poland. He added that he was to be the driver of this train, and President Jarosław Kaczyński was to be the manager.
– After President Andrzej Duda and President Karol Nawrocki, we are once again boarding this perfectly oiled, prepared Polish high-speed train from the “Sokół” hall, so that we can all win for Poland. As I heard, I am to be the driver of this train. President Jarosław Kaczyński is the manager – emphasized the vice-president of PiS and former minister of education during his speech.
He added that everyone has their place on such a train. In this context, he mentioned, among others: former prime ministers, PiS vice-presidents Beata Szydło and Mateusz Morawiecki.
In his opinion, Poland is currently in a similar situation to 2015, when Kaczyński announced Andrzej Duda as the PiS candidate for president. – Poland was sinking, suffocated by the rule of the Civic Platform, there was no money for anything. There was no pro-family policy, no investments – he mentioned.
He emphasized that it was in the “Sokół” hall that “the courage that led to the victory” of PiS was born. – Here in the “Sokół” hall it is written: “only common power will save us.” Common power, our common power, will give victory to Poland, said Czarnek.
Czarnek: We want to restore the real Poland to Poles
As Czarnek emphasized, Poland ruled by Donald Tusk, Sikorski, Kierwiński and many others is going in the wrong direction, it is a Poland of chaos, confusion and human harm.
In his opinion, it is ordinary Poles who keep Poland upright, despite what Tusk is doing. – Despite this strangulation of Poland – he added
He stressed that he wants a normal and true Poland that works, builds, raises children, protects our safety and saves lives.
– We want to take care of this real Poland, we want to restore this real Poland to Poles, so that it comes first, so that a normal, ordinary Pole is again an entity in his country, so that he is clear that it is him that this state relies on and will protect him – he added.
– We have to help these ordinary Poles, because Poland is not owned by politicians. Poland belongs to Poles – all of them – he emphasized.
Czarnek: A strong state should denounce the EU, among others. ETS, renewable energy or the Green Deal
– What must a strong state do to stand by Karol Nawrocki? This country is to go to Brussels and say that we no longer have the ECJ in Poland – we are saying that. We don't have your energy mix, we don't have any Green Deal, we don't have any renewable energy, sr-RES. We have our coal mix because we have our natural resources and we don't care about them. We have our coal – said the vice-president of PiS, former minister of education, during his speech.
As he said, Poland currently has the highest electricity prices in Europe. He emphasized that this is a problem not only for households and the poorest people, but also for society in general, because – as he added – due to high electricity prices, companies are going bankrupt and unemployment is rising. – If the energy price here continues to be the most expensive in Europe, there will be no companies and no jobs. There will be unemployment as it was before 2015. They (the ruling coalition – PAP) can do it, he said.
Czarnek emphasized that Poland wants clean energy, including nuclear energy, but “we must have a base.” – This base is coal – he concluded.
In the context of agriculture, the vice-president of PiS said that the Polish farmer is currently “oppressed, suffocated and shamelessly fooled.” He emphasized that PiS is calling for the erasure of the concept of the agreement with Mercosur from the Polish dictionary. “It's gone,” he said.
Czarnek: Today, this country is strong for the weak
– Poland is not only our property (…) Poland is one great great heritage that we received from our ancestors (…) They worked for it, they defended it, they worked out what we have for us today. Today we do not have the right: we have a sacred duty to take over, multiply and pass on this heritage, which is called Poland, – said Czarnek. – Today, this beautiful Poland is tired of being suffocated by this open German option that rules Poland today. She is tired of powerlessness, she is tired of weakness, he added.
Czarnek read messages from Poles staying in countries affected by war and criticized the government for its lack of response and appropriate assistance. – They say to call the hotline, but no one answers. What is it – state or call center? – he asked. – This is an image of a miserable state that leaves Poles in need (…) This state today is strong for the weak – he said. – It is not strong where it must be strong and helpful to citizens, but only where a weak person can be caught and chased. The state cannot operate this way, the state must change immediately (…) It must be strong, it must take care of Poles. What kind of country is this that cannot immediately respond to the needs of Poles? – he asked.
He also referred to gasoline prices. -Today, a barrel is much cheaper in the world, and fuel is already over PLN 7 (per liter – PAP). Is this dealing with Poles? What can Tusk do in this situation? In this situation, Tusk, who wants to put Daniel Obajtek in prison for lowering fuel prices for Poles (…) can do three things: he can, like Daniel Obajtek, lower fuel prices with the help of Orlen, intervene just as (…) we intervened as the government of the Republic of Poland when coal prices were going up (…) We are being judged for this too! That we intervened for Poles so that they could have normal coal at a normal price next winter. Will they do that? If Tusk does that (…) if you want to put Daniel Obajtek in jail for lowering gasoline prices, you will be sitting next to him – said Czarnek.
– Tusk will not do this again. What can the other do? He won't care about Poles, he'll do it because he always doesn't care about Poles. Because he rules not for Poland, not in Polish interests, not in the interests of an ordinary, normal Pole – he added. (PAP)
