Iran warns EU: States joining US and Israel attacks become 'legitimate targets' for retaliation

European Union member states that join the attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran will become “legitimate targets” for Iranian retaliation, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said in an interview with France 24 television, according to Reuters.
“Any country that joins aggression against Iran, alongside America and Israel, will undoubtedly become a legitimate target for Iran's retaliation,” Takht-Ravanchi said.
Although some European Union countries, such as France, Greece and Italy, have sent warships to the Middle East, and most senior EU officials have condemned Iranian attacks in the region, European leaders have mainly called for an end to the conflict and a diplomatic solution.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Friday that Berlin was working with its partners to find a way to end the fighting with Iran, while saying that Germany shared the goals of the United States and Israel.
