PLL LOT cancels further flights. Dubai, Riyadh and Tel Aviv are on the list

LOT Polish Airlines has suspended flights to Dubai until March 11, the national carrier announced on Friday. LOT's operational services are working on solutions that will enable the return of passengers from the United Arab Emirates to Poland, using partner airlines.


“LOT Polish Airlines, in accordance with the recommendation of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, has decided to suspend flights to Dubai until March 11 inclusive. Our operational services are working on solutions that will enable the organization of the return of passengers from the United Arab Emirates to Poland, using partner airlines. We will contact LOT Polish Airlines passengers directly, providing further information on available travel options,” PLL LOT announced on the X platform.
Previously, LOT Polish Airlines canceled flights to Riyadh until March 8, and connections to Tel Aviv are suspended until March 18 inclusive.
Due to Saturday's airstrikes on Iran by the US and Israel, many Middle Eastern countries closed their airspace. Flights in the region were canceled by, among others: LOT Polish Airlines, the British airline Virgin Atlantic, Air Arabia, Norwegian Air Shuttle (to and from Dubai), Air France (to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut), the Dutch KLM (on the Amsterdam – Tel Aviv line), Wizz Air (connections with Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman; until March 7), Lufthansa (connections with Tel Aviv, Beirut, Oman; until March 7), Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines (connections with Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Oman) and Air India to all Middle Eastern countries.
