– If we are talking about issues related to the return of Poles from the Middle East organized by the government – i.e. deciding to make it a humanitarian operation – then the state pays – said Wiesław Szczepański, deputy minister of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, on RMF FM. But when does it become the responsibility of travel agencies?

The issue of Poles abroad still has no single answer. In terms of organizing a humanitarian action, the costs would be borne by the state, while the costs for Poles who fly from that part of the world themselves should be borne by travel agencies, Szczepański said.
– Please contact consulates. It's impossible to say straight away: get on the plane. All this will be carried out in an organized manner. I think that we will want to bring families with children first, and then other people, he explained.
The government “does not change its mind” on the issue of Poles in the Middle East
When asked why “the government changed its mind on this matter”, he stated that “the government did not change its mind” – It is easier to introduce specific tasks when they are carried out in silence – he said in an interview with RMF FM.
The evacuation schedule is prepared by the Ministry of National Defense. Szczepański states that this is being done gradually. We can expect flights from Poland to Oman in the near future. It is expected that 100 Arab airlines planes will fly from there and neighboring countries, an RMF FM guest informed. He also added that Poles who stayed in Jordan and Israel are currently safe in Egypt. Most Poles come from the United Arab Emirates, the politician added.
