US President Donald Trump told Politico on Tuesday that Iran is running out of launchers, while American arms companies are rapidly producing the weapons necessary for the US.

Trump said in a telephone conversation that Iran's military capabilities are constantly being weakened. He admitted that Iranian forces will continue to fire missiles “for some time.”

The president declared that Iran was “running out of launchers.” He added that they are also running out of firing points because they are being “decimated”.

Trump said the war could last four to five weeks – or could end in a few days.

He said he would be open to contact with a new, transformed Iranian government if one emerges from the ongoing conflict. He recalled that 49 top representatives of the Iranian authorities were killed in the attacks. “New people are coming. Many people want this job. Some of them would be very good,” he concluded.
