Krasnoyarsk parents cannot vaccinate their children against rotavirus

March 4 15:50

In Krasnoyarsk it is impossible to vaccinate a child against rotavirus. A mother who is trying to find a vaccine in city medical facilities told Newslab about this.

“We need to get the third vaccination against rotavirus, and do it within the time recommended by the pediatrician. There were already problems with the second dose: the vaccine was not available everywhere. And now you can’t find her at all, you can only sign up on the waiting lists,” says the mother.

As the regional Ministry of Health previously explained, vaccination is not included in the list of mandatory ones, so it is not purchased at budget expense. Parents are advised to contact private clinics.

However, according to Krasnoyarsk, there is no vaccine there either. The woman has already contacted the clinics “Santem”, “Almed”, “Bionika”, “Krasbiomed”, “Good Doctor”, “IPM” and the “Clinic on Kirenskogo”. When asked about the waiting period, administrators answer evasively: “we waited in February, now we are waiting in March.”
