The head of Krasnoyarsk, Sergei Vereshchagin, instructed the city social security to restore travel limits for people with disabilities. We are talking about a social taxi, the services of which are used by about two thousand citizens.
Let us remind you that the number of trips was reduced last year. As Vereshchagin said after a meeting with State Duma deputy Natalya Kaptelinina, he decided to return to the previous norms. To do this, you will need to find additional funds in the budget.
“The service is in demand. In many cities it simply does not exist. And in Krasnoyarsk, about 2 thousand people have the opportunity to travel for free for medical examinations and various events. This is important for citizens with limited mobility,” the mayor noted.
He also emphasized that an inclusive environment in the city needs to be developed, and agreed with the deputy to work together in this direction.
