A snack that tastes better than chips: I bake it in 25 minutes and carrots turn into a favorite spring snack

Roasted carrots are an easy way to turn an affordable root vegetable into a delicious snack. Even those who are indifferent to vegetables will like the sweetish, aromatic slices. Everything is prepared in half an hour, and the ingredients can be found in any store in early March.

You will need:

Large carrots – 4–5 pcs.
Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. spoon
Spice mixture – to taste
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

How to cook:

  • Peel the carrots and cut them into cubes about 1 cm thick, so they will cook evenly and become crispy.
  • Place the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle with vegetable oil, add lemon juice and sprinkle generously with spices.
  • Mix well with your hands so that each piece is coated with the flavorful mixture.
  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the carrots are golden on the edges and soft inside.
  • Serve warm or cool as a snack on its own or with your choice of dip: Greek yogurt with herbs, hummus or light sour cream dressing.

Bon appetit!

Question and answer:

How to make carrots crispy when baking?
Cut the carrots into cubes of equal thickness and do not overcrowd the baking sheet. This allows hot air to circulate freely and form an even crust.

How long do baked carrots last?
Stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, the snack will retain flavor for up to 3 days. Before serving, you can warm it slightly in the oven to bring back the crunch.
