“We transform lions into kittens in Bucharest!”

Rapid prevailed in the penultimate stage of the Superliga regular season, 2-1 away to Unirea Sloboziaand the Giulești team thus consolidated their 2nd place in the ranking before the start of the play-off. At the end of the match, Constantin Gâlcă's players went in front of the gallery, and the leader Liviu “Bocciu” Ungurean had a motivational message for them, before the derby with University of Craiova.
“On Sunday we turn the Craiova lions into kittens”, was the message of the leader of the gallery, trying to motivate the Rapid players to force victory in the derby of the last stage of the regular season.
“Bocciu” asked the players from Rapid to win against the University of Craiova: “We turn lions into kittens!”
At the end of the match played in Slobozia, the Rapid players went in front of the gallery and sang with the supporters, after handing out flowers to the fans in the stands.
After celebrating the victory, Liviu “Bocciu” Ungurean sent a motivational message to the players, asking them to show a fighting attitude to win in the last stage, when Rapid will receive the visit of the leader Universitatea Craiova.
“Guys, and now we want to tell you that on Sunday we will turn the lions from Craiova into kittens in Bucharest! We want to see the attitude of fighters and speedsters. At Rapid, you feel it, you love it, and we have to convey what is right“, was the message of the leader of the gallery, transmitted through the megaphone.
Rapid will host the derby of the final stage of the Superliga regular season on Sunday, March 8, from 20:00.
Giulești consolidated their 2nd place before the start of the play-off, and now the band coached by Constantin Gâlcă has 55 points, being 4 behind the leader Craiova. In the event of a win in this head-to-head match, Rapid's chances for the title would become ever greater.
The round match, played on “Ion Oblemenco”, ended in a tie, score 2-2. Giulești were twice in the lead, but Craiova University, coached at that time by Mirel Rădoi, got a draw after the goal scored by Steven Nsimba in the 90th+10th minute, from the penalty spot.
