The 2026 Formula 1 season includes 24 Grands Prix and 6 sprint races. The first of them, in Australia, will take place on Sunday, March 8, at 06:00 Romanian time.

  • In this article, which we will update every race week throughout the season, you will find information about the televising of qualifying and races.

It is the last year out of the 3 years for which the Antena group bought the television rights in Romania.

This means that this year too, the qualifications and the races in the Great Circuit, whether we are talking about the sprint races or the Grand Prix, will also be able to be watched on Antena 1, Antena 3 CNN and Antena Stars.

The Australian Formula 1 race, the first since 2026, will be broadcast by Antena 1

The first race in 2026, the one in Australia, will take place on Sunday, March 8, at 06:00, and will be televised by Antena 1.

The qualifications for the Grand Prix will take place one day earlier, on Saturday, at 07:00, and will be broadcast by Antena 3 CNN.

As in previous seasons, free training will be available exclusively on the group's streaming application, AntenaPLAY. Qualifying and the race can also be followed in the app.

Training 1 will take place on Friday morning, 03:30 Romanian time, the second session will start at 07:00, and the third – and last – was scheduled for Saturday morning, 03:30.

The race will take place on the “Albert Park” circuit in Melbourne, where the time zone is 9 hours ahead of Romania's.

Formula 1 can also be watched, for a fee, on F1 TV

The alternative to Antena group products is F1 TV, the competition's official platform, which offers 3 subscription types: TV Access, TV Pro and TV Premium.

With TV Access, subscription with a price of 29.99 euros per year* (approximately 153 RON) you cannot watch the races in real time, only replays available later. On top of that, timing and telemetry elements, tire wear data and other such technical details.

TV Pro, the subscription that also allows watching the sessions in real time, costs 74.99 euros annually, the equivalent of about 383 RON.

For the Premium Variant, which also offers 4K UHD/HDR resolutions and the possibility to watch on a maximum of 6 devices simultaneously, the price rises to 99.99 euros (510 RON) per year.

*Prices valid at the beginning of the season, in March.

  • USA (Miami) – May 2

  • Canada (Montreal) – May 23

  • Great Britain (Silverstone) – July 4th

  • Netherlands (Zandvoort) – August 22

  • Singapore – October 10
