Răzvan Pascu responds to CTP's critics and dismantles stereotypes about Dubai: “There is history, only the uneducated don't know that”

Tourism marketing consultant Răzvan Pascu published an extensive message explaining why an international children's camp organized in Dubai is, in his opinion, a justified and educational choice. The reaction comes after the critical comments made by journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu, who questioned the usefulness of such an experience for students.

Răzvan Pascu says that the opinions that Dubai has no educational value for children are based on stereotypes. “I have traveled to more than 120 countries in the world and I think that Dubai is one of the best places for children, from everything I have seen”he wrote in a Facebook post.

The consultant states that he has visited Dubai several times with his children and that, in over a month and a half spent there, he did not manage to cover all the available activities. “Simply the offer is impressive”says Pascu.

In his message, he emphasizes that Dubai and Abu Dhabi are not just spectacular buildings and records, but also real educational experiences. Examples include the Ras Al Khor Nature Reserve, where children can see flamingos in the wild, the Green Planet tropical bio-dome or the Dubai Dolphinarium, which combines the show with information about marine life and conservation.

Răzvan Pascu also mentions the cultural and historical component. In Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood discover traditional Dubai with wind towers and coral houses. “Learn the history before Dubai was rich. Because there is history; only the uncultivated do not know this“, says the tourism consultant. In the Al Fahidi district, children can discover traditional Dubai, and at the Al Shindagha Museum they can understand the transformation of the Emirates “from a fishing village to a global economy.” In Abu Dhabi, Louvre Abu Dhabi is presented as “a lesson in how civilizations have evolved together”.

In the area of science and the future, the consultant mentions the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, Children's City and the Dubai Museum of the Future, which includes a special area for children. “Technology is explained through play”he claims.

Pascu also talks about numerous museums and centers dedicated exclusively to children, theme parks, water parks and experiences such as the safari in the desert or the panorama from the Burj Khalifa. All this, he says, contributes to a form of experiential learning without pressure.

“What I like about Dubai and Abu Dhabi is that they don't separate culture from fun. They combine them. For parents it means safety and impeccable infrastructure. For children, it means experiential learning”says Răzvan Pascu.

Finally, the consultant concludes that organizing a children's camp in Dubai is “a very good idea” and adds that he would have liked to have had such an opportunity as a child. “You go home not just with beautiful pictures, but with conversations started on vacation and continued long after”he says.

Răzvan Pascu's reaction comes after Cristian Tudor Popescu harshly criticized the trip of some high school students to Dubai, asking what cultural objectives they could see there and suggesting that such visits would not have an educational value comparable to that of some cultural landmarks in Romania.
