Floyd Mayweather, duel with a multiple world champion in kickboxing: “Athens, Greece, get ready”

Before fighting Manny Pacquiao (47) on September 19, Floyd Mayweather (49) agreed to fight Mike Zambidis (45), a Greek kickboxer. The duel will take place in June in Athens.
11 years after the “fight of the century”, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will meet again in the ring, in the Sphere in Las Vegas. The match will take place on September 19 and can be watched live on Netflix.
Floyd Mayweather will fight Mike Zambidis in Athens, Greece in June
Until the duel with Pacquiao, Mayweather announced that he will fight with Mike Zambidis, multiple world kickboxing championwho retired in 2015 after a victory with Steve Moxon in Athens, the capital of Greece.
“2026 is starting to look like an exciting year for me. I'm about to have fun! Athens, Greece, get ready. This summer is going to be a legendary fight,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram.
Zambidis has a record of 157 wins and 24 lossesmanaging to win 87 fights by knockout. On the other hand, Mayweather is undefeated with 50 wins.

After defeating Pacquiao in 2015, the American went on to win over Andre Berto on September 12, 2015, and Conor McGregor on August 26, 2017. The multiple world boxing champion then retired and began participating in various exhibition matches.
Like Mayweather, Pacquiao was a multi-category world champion in boxing. He had an important political career, but in 2025 he returned to the ring and dueled with Mario Barrios. The match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada ended in a tie.
On September 19, the two rivals will face each other again the Filipino will try to avenge his defeat in 2015, when Mayweather won by unanimous decision.
