Gloria Bistrița announced the separation of coach Marius Novvanc (44 years). The move was formalized two days before the end of the Romanian Cup for women's handball. The place will be taken by the Spanish Carlos Viver (52 years old), a former champion with Rapid.
Marius Novanc took over the team on the way this season, in February 2025, after the separation of Florentin Pera. Under his command, Gloria had a good course in the championship, 5 victories, a draw with CSM Bucharest and a failure in Braila. Bistrița climbed to the 3rd place in the “Flower League”, one that would allow him to hope for a Wild Card in the next edition of the Champions League.

Gloria qualified and finally the Four of the Romanian Cup. Saturday, from 5:30 pm, will face the Rapid. In the other semifinal will be face to face CSM Bucharest and the Danube Brăila.
