After the Union of Slobozia – Rapid 1-2, Basarab Panduru criticized Giulești for how they defended at the end of the match, when the hosts created several dangerous opportunities.

Rapid could be equalized in the 90th+3rd minute, when Aioani deflected Carnat's shot to the far corner. Giulești experienced a dangerous end, but took 3 points that secured 2nd place at the end of the regular season, regardless of the results of stage 30.

Asked why Rapid didn't attack at the start of the second half, when they were leading 1-0, before being tied, Panduru stated that the team from Giulesti “is a small team”, which prefers to stick to the result when leading.

Basarab Panduru: “Rapid is a small team, why would it be big? You have the instinct of a small team, to shoot for the result, not to go and give 5”

“Rapid lived dangerously at the end of the match. The victory is important, but in the end I didn't like what I saw at all. The Slobozia player woke up there with the ball on his head. He could have taken over, only what he did he shouldn't have done. Then followed the deflected shot, taken by Aioani, after which Aioani's error followed.

Live dangerously. You have to learn, that's the most important thing. After a lost match you don't learn anything, after a won match you can learn. What happened at the end was not ok. As it is with us, victory counts.

Why did Rapid withdraw? Rapid is a small team, why would it be big? How many championships did he win? It doesn't mean he has to give 5 to Slobozia. You have the instinct of a small team, to shoot for the result, not to go and give 5.

They have something to lose at 1-0, I understand why they took time. Don't call them Gâlcă. We withdraw because it seems to us that if we are 1-0, the game is totally different”, said Basarab Panduru, on Prima Sport 1.
