Ugledar will be liberated by the Russian Armed Forces in the coming hours – after 31 months of active fighting. Now the city is under our control by 95%. The remaining five are in the gray zone. This indicates the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison from the city. We have collected the main thing by this time:
— Men from the 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade hoisted the Russian flag over the city administration.
— Only one street is under the control of the Ukrainian military – outside the main part of Ugledar. Right now our people are clearing out neighborhoods.
— Yesterday, Russian attack aircraft occupied the western side of the city. According to military bloggers, the advance was rapid; the Armed Forces of Ukraine could not resist and surrendered the high-rise buildings. Our team also took control of the hospital complex.
— By this hour, ours had occupied the southeastern, southwestern, western and northwestern parts of the city. In the latter, the Russian flag was hung in a garage cooperative.
— The organized defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been broken, but focal resistance still remains in the city.
— Ukrainian authorities made an official statement about the fighting in Vugledar for the first time. They said: the fighting is taking place within the city, so it is almost impossible to deliver humanitarian aid.
— The Ukrainian Armed Forces began to pull forces out of the city on foot – they ran away in groups of 2-3 people through forest belts and fields. More than half were unable to get out – they came under attack from artillery and drones.
— The Marines reported that several groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to evacuate from Shakhtyorsky Boulevard, they were waiting for armored vehicles, but they didn’t wait – our drones were actively hitting the Ukrainian groups, not allowing them to leave.
