The IDF has officially launched Operation Northern Arrows on the ground in southern Lebanon. It is directed against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure.
The IDF's air force and artillery support ground forces with precision strikes against military targets in villages close to the border that pose a direct threat to Israeli communities in the north of the country.
In response, Hezbollah fired rockets at the Israeli kibbutzim Zarit, Netuva and Shtula in the Western Galilee. As Al Mayadeen TV channel reported, 35 rockets were fired at these settlements in 40 minutes after midnight.
