A Moscow engineer tried to rent a “girl for an hour” for 2,000 rubles, but ended up transferring 2 million rubles to the scammers
At the beginning of August, a 59-year-old Muscovite arrived in Rybinsk on work matters. On the 12th he felt exhausted and decided to relax in the company of a pleasant woman.
He found a suitable option online and called. A pleasant female voice introduced herself as Marina and asked to transfer 17 thousand rubles – 2,000 for services and another 15,000 as a guarantee that the “girl” would not have any problems.
The engineer transferred the money and began to wait for the meeting, but soon Marina called back and said that she could not open the cash register, since the money was sent in 2 payments. Another payment would help correct the situation, and Mikhail agreed to transfer 30,000 rubles. Then history repeated itself, but more money was needed.
After the next transfer, a certain Bekhan called. Threatening Mikhail with revealing this whole story to his relatives, he persuaded the intimidated skuf to take out a loan for 510 thousand rubles and transfer the money to him. Mikhail fell for it again.
In the end, the engineer’s card was blocked for suspicious transfers. At that moment, the Muscovite realized that he had been scammed: he was left without money and without a “girl.”
The man contacted the police with a complaint of fraud. In total, he gave Bekhan and his office almost 2 million rubles.
