During the briefing, the spokesman recalled that for some time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been warning against trips to the Middle East and appealed to leave some countries, e.g. Iran.

Basically, I would ask you to stay where you are. There are two slogans that should guide every Pole on site: peace and security, he emphasized.

Wewiór suggested staying in a place of shelter, away from windows; have medicines and documents with you.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted on Sunday afternoon that he was convinced that “when hostilities end, missiles and drones stop flying, when it is safe, our citizens will return to Poland.”

– On the one hand, our consular service is in contact with our citizens. On the other hand, he also works with local services and local authorities. As a result, for example, the United Arab Emirates provided accommodation and food to all people who had not left this territory until the airspace was opened, Wewiór said.

He assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is doing everything possible to help Polish citizens in the Middle East. – There is no way to organize other help and this is a matter for the whole world – Wewiór emphasized. As he pointed out, “the problem concerns the whole world, because we are talking about thousands of people who are stranded there in the region and thousands of people who had connecting flights.”

– We focus on Polish citizens and ensure that our citizens are safe there – repeated the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As he said, travel agencies and carriers are responsible for travel, and the consular service supports citizens and carriers in contact with local authorities. – First, contact the airlines and they will guide you – added Wewiór.
