“I hope and wish to play for the national team. I have always thought and hope to come back one day. No, I have not been contacted by anyone from the national team, nothing,” Dorin Rotariu said, according to digisport.ro.
Later, as a player from the Turkish championship, Dorin Rotariu commented on Romania's chances of getting past “Semiluna” in the semi-final of the 2026 World Championship.
Turkey has valuable players and has a strong group. It won't be easy, but it won't be impossible either. Turkey is a team that takes advantage immediately if you give them chances. We have to be very careful and very organized. 100% we can beat Turkey, even if they play in Istanbul. Most of our players have experience in big, full stadiums. I don't think they will be overwhelmed by the atmosphere there

Dorin Rotariu performs on the right wing position, and at the moment in the national circuit, the position seems to have been awarded by Dennis Man, the player who performs at PSV in the Netherlands.
Dorin Rotariu started football at Poli Timișoara, and then came to Dinamo, where he “exploded”. He played 4 years in the shirt of the “dogs”, and then the experiences abroad began: Club Brugge, Mouscron, AZ Alkmaar, FC Astana, Ludogorets, Atromitos. In 2023 he returned to Romania, but to the great rival of the “dogs”, FCSB. The experience was not auspicious, and he later began his adventure in Turkey. Ankaragucu, Igdir and from this winter Eyupsor, a formation where there is a real colony of Romanians.
