The Israeli army announced Sunday evening that it will mobilize 100,000 reservists as part of the offensive against Iran, according to a statement cited by AFP.
“The army is preparing to mobilize around 100,000 reservists and to strengthen its level of training on various fronts” as part of this operation, the statement released by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF, the Israeli army) states.
Israel's army also states that “reinforcements” have already been deployed in several areas of the country and at the borders.
Iran launched a new wave of attacks on Israel and US bases in the region on Sunday after the Revolutionary Guards announced in the morning that they were carrying out “the most ferocious offensive operation in the history of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
There were further explosions in Israel and several Gulf states, and a US base in Iraq was also attacked. Donald Trump reacted by threatening “we will hit them with unprecedented force” as Israeli and US forces continue their massive offensive against Iran.
