I prepare a Lenten dinner in 15 minutes and sleep peacefully – warm, satisfying and completely without heaviness.

During fasting, it is especially important to eat so as not to feel hungry, but also not to overload the body. This dinner satisfies, provides fiber, vitamins and light energy, and by night leaves only a feeling of peace. It can be prepared faster than you can change clothes after work, and is suitable even for those who do not fast but want ease.

Ingredients:

broccoli – 200 g
cauliflower – 200 g
carrots – 1 pc.
onion – ½ pc.
garlic – 1 clove (optional)
boiled chickpeas or from a jar – 100 g
olive oil – 1 tbsp. l.
salt, black pepper, a pinch of turmeric or paprika – to taste
fresh herbs – for serving

How to cook:

  • Separate broccoli and cauliflower into florets.
  • Cut the carrots into thin strips and the onion into half rings.
  • Heat the oil in a high-sided frying pan.
  • Fry the onion for 2 minutes, add the carrots and cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Add cabbage, chickpeas, garlic, spices.
  • Cover with a lid and simmer for 8–10 minutes over medium heat, stirring.
  • At the very end, add the greens.

Serve warm. You can sprinkle with lemon juice or add a spoonful of homemade sesame sauce.

Bon appetit!
