“Application” taxis under the microscope. Disturbing results of over 350 inspections

Since Saturday, 388 inspections of passenger transport vehicles have been carried out by the capital police. They imposed 56 fines on a total of 23.8 thousand people. PLN and revealed one person staying in Poland without permission. The checks are the result of a fight between Tajikistan citizens, which ended with the detention of three people.


The Warsaw Police reported that during the operations, officers checked the sobriety of 201 people, and also carried out 385 driving license checks, 146 personal checks, and 136 baggage checks. Their actions resulted in the confiscation of two driving licenses and one registration certificate, and one application was made to the court.
KSP reminded that during last year's inspection activities carried out under the code name “Safe Transport” the police detained 46 people for whom a decision was made to deport them, and 126 drivers without a driving license. In 540 cases, registration certificates were seized and in 53 cases – driving licenses. 115 vehicles were towed.
During the inspection, the police check, among others:
- drivers' sobriety,
- required permissions,
- legality of transport,
- technical condition of vehicles,
- legality of foreigners' stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland.
The police emphasized that their control activities would continue.
At night, a fight broke out between Tajikistan citizens at a gas station in Wola. A 36-year-old man with a head injury was taken to hospital. The police detained three men – citizens of Tajikistan, aged 25 to 36.
“The vehicle used by the perpetrators was seized for the case, as well as the tool used to cause serious bodily injury,” the capital police noted.
They said that the detained men remain at the disposal of law enforcement authorities, and the collected evidence is being processed to bring charges against them. (PAP)
