Ionuț Mosteanu, the leader of USR deputies, said that his political party is ready to be part of a “stable, credible and reformist”, writes Agerpres.

USR proposals are aimed at: reducing “unnecessary and stopping” expenses from public money, as well as accelerating the absorption of European funds and the “real” implementation of the PNRR.

The party also advocates for an economic environment in which the entrepreneurs are not “blocked by absurd bureaucracy”, but encouraged to innovate; For a state working for citizens and for a firmly anchored Romania in Europe, with a government “that matters at the decisions and which defends the Democratic Directorate”.

Ionuț Moșteanu mentioned that the discussion about ministries is “premature” and that USR will not go to “lists” negotiations. He stressed that for the priority USR are the objectives and measures supported by the future government.

“We are not interested in the functions, but the direction. It is time for the parties to talk seriously about measures, not about chairs. Romania needs a government that can deliver reforms, not a division of positions. Everything that appeared in the press about negotiated ministries and proposed people are just gossip,” he said.

He says that the Romanians were tired of “injustice and privileges”, and for the political formation of which they are part, it is that the discussions are open, transparent and assumed.

“The Romanians were tired of red lines, instability, as they were tired of injustice and privileges. (…) For the USR, it is important that these discussions are open, transparent and assumed. It is important for the discussions to leave a reform plan. Romania no longer has time for political games.

President Nicușor Dan will have, on Wednesday, at the Cotroceni Palace, a round of informal consultations with the parties and parliamentary political formations.
