Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund in a spectacular “Der Klassiker” 3-2 on Saturday night.
The two great rivals met in a match in the round with number 24 in the Bundesliga. The hosts arrived with their morale “crumpled” after the team were thrashed 4-1 by Atalanta and crashed out of the Champions League. Bayern, on the other hand, started as the clear leaders with striker Hary Kane in top form.
Bayern Munich, spectacular victory in “Der Klassiker”
The atmosphere was electrifying at Signal Iduna Park, where Borussia fans prepared a special choreography before the start of the match.

Bayern Munich started the game much better, dominating both in terms of possession and chances.
The first major incident occurred in the 20th minute of the game, when Nico Schlotterbeck only escaped with a yellow card following a tough duel with Josip Stanisic, although the Bavarians' players called for him to be sent off.
Only 6 minutes later, the same Schlotterbeck managed to open the scoring. The home defender jumped to intercept Svensson's cross from a free kick inside the 6-yard box and headed the ball straight into the bottom right corner of the net.
In the 39th minute, Dortmund's captain, Emre Can, was injured and showed the first signs that he could be substituted. He returned to the field, but 6 minutes later he left the playing surface complaining of pain.
The Bavarians came out of the locker room much more prepared and quickly took control of the game. This soon showed on the scoreboard and Bayern's most in-form player Hary Hane equalized in the 54th minute.
The same Hary Kane would score from the penalty kick in the 70th minute and Bayern took the lead in “Der Klassiker”.
In the 83rd minute of the match, Svensson shoots from the first towards Urbig's goal, which is left without a reply. The hosts equalized, dynamiting the end of the match.
Borussia Dortmund weren't too happy about the equaliser, and just 4 minutes later, Kimmich finished superbly as Bayern took the lead again, setting the final score of the game at 3-2 in favor of the visitors.
Following this result, Bayern are 11 points behind Borussia.
