How does the President of Ukraine cope with stress? Simple tips from Zelensky


“How do you cope with stress?” – journalist Alex Rossi asked Zelensky.

“I have become more realistic than before. Now I sleep only to music. And I try to train 4-5 times a week,” answered the Ukrainian president.

Describing his training, he noted that the main thing in this process is consistency. Zelensky added that even a short workout is better than no training.

“If it's 15 minutes, it's good. 25 is better. If it's 40 minutes, it's great,” he said, noting that the length of the workout depends on his work schedule.

Context

In February 2025, in an interview with the French news agency AFP, Zelensky said that he gets up at six or seven in the morning.

“But I sleep so interestingly – [командующий Воздушными силами ВСУ Анатолий] Krivonozhko texts me all night, and I text him,” the president admitted, explaining that they were discussing Russian night attacks on Ukrainian cities.

According to Zelensky, when he wakes up in the morning, he tries to read the news on his phone and then does exercises.

In the same interview, he advised not to eat stress so as not to gain excess weight.
