A 17-year-old boy, arrested for planning an attack on a NATO base in Norway

The Norwegian police arrested a 17-year-old teenager suspected of planning to carry out an attack with the help of explosives against a NATO structure in the southwest of the country, the public television channel NRK reported on Friday, reports AFP, taken over by Agerpres.
Born and raised in Norway, the suspect was allegedly seen at school with a flag of the Islamic State group, according to NRK.
Placed in preventive detention for two weeks on Friday, he denies the accusations against him, his lawyer, Knut Lerum, told AFP.
He was arrested on Thursday by the Norwegian Internal Security Service (PST), which is responsible for the fight against terrorism.
According to NRK, citing PST documents, the teenager allegedly planned an explosive attack against NATO's Joint Warfare Center (JWC) in Stavanger, in southwestern Norway.
