The orchid bloomed and froze. In order for her to release the peduncle again, she needs to be given a signal. The best signal is a warm shower. It reminds the plant of tropical downpours, after which it is time to bloom. But one shower is not enough. Need support. It is provided by pharmaceutical vitamin B1 (thiamine). It helps the orchid absorb nutrition and direct its energy to flowering rather than to leaves.
You can buy an ampoule of vitamin B1 at the pharmacy. Dissolve it in one liter of water. The water should be soft and warm, about 40 degrees. Place the orchid in the bath. Water it with this solution from all sides for 10-15 minutes. Contact leaves, roots and bark. After showering, leave the plant in the bath for 4-5 hours. The water should drain completely and the leaves should dry. Only then return the flower to its place. Repeat this once a month.
In a month you will see changes. A new, thick arrow will appear from the base of the stem. She will grow quickly. Often there may be two such arrows. The leaves will become denser and brighter. The plant itself will look strong and ready to bloom for a long time.
Do not shower when the orchid is already blooming. Do not leave water in the middle of the plant where the leaves grow: this will cause rot. Do not use cold or hard tap water. Do not water more than once a month so as not to deplete the flower. This method is a simple help, not magic. He creates conditions in which the orchid itself wants to bloom.
