The series “Tulsa King”, one of the successful productions of the Paramount+ platform, will have a spin-off called “Frisco King”, in which the main role will be played by Samuel L. Jackson. The new project is being developed by Taylor Sheridan, creator of the “Tulsa King” universe.
According to the announcement made by Paramount+, Sheridan will write all eight episodes of the first season and will, along with Jackson, executive produce the series. The production team also includes Sylvester Stallone, the protagonist of “Tulsa King”.

“We are honored that Taylor Sheridan will write the first season of 'Frisco King' and bring Samuel L. Jackson's iconic character to life. The fact that he will be signing all episodes of the season will be a joy for 'Tulsa King' fans and audiences around the world,” said Matt Thunell, president of Paramount Television Studios, in a statement, quoted by tvline.com.
Officially commissioned last July, “Frisco King,” previously known as “NOLA King” and relocated from New Orleans to Texas, centers on Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character played by Jackson who was first introduced in the third season of “Tulsa King.” Filming will begin in late March in Fort Worth, Texas.
The main series has already been renewed for a fourth season, but there is currently no timetable for its return to Paramount+ or the release of the spin-off “Frisco King”.
In Romania, “Tulsa King” is broadcast on SkyShowtime.
