Heat bills in Skórcz have increased significantly. “Some people have to choose”

Energy consumers were to learn about the increase three weeks before the payment deadline. In a conversation with a reporter from “Interwencja” they do not hide their dismay at the expenses they have to incur.
One of the interlocutors emphasizes that the pension she and her husband receive does not cover higher bills. – If I were alone, I wouldn't be able to pay at all. We had to take out a loan to pay for the apartment – he explains.
- The EU will introduce a total ban on the import of Russian oil. But first, the elections
Another resident estimates that her bills have increased by over PLN 1,000. zloty. Meanwhile, the next one indicates that its liabilities increased by 300%. — Some people have to choose: either fees or food – admits another interlocutor.
The estate in question is connected to a heat and power plant, the main recipient of which was to be a large enterprise. Residents of the surrounding blocks were to benefit from the investment and receive cheap heat. However, in order for the heat and power plant to obtain an EU subsidy, it was necessary to remove the so-called scoundrels from apartments. This is what happened, and the bills were actually low at first.
The heat and power plant explains the decision and announces a correction
The “Interwencja” reporter asked the representative of the heat and power plant, Rafał Kosecki, about the matter. – As a heating company, we were perfectly aware that these increases would be significant, because we knew perfectly well how much we were buying gas for and what our company costs were – he explains. He adds that due to the small number of recipients, 16 facilities, the company incurs transmission losses. — They are at the level of 20 percent. In accordance with the guidelines of the Energy Regulatory Office, we must transfer these losses to the tariff – says.
- Schools and kindergartens are disappearing from the map of Poland. Parents react
When asked whether, due to the subsidy received, the heat and power plant should not provide cheap heat, the interlocutor replies: – We are a private enterprise, not a local government company, which can count on some support from the founding bodies or others. We are a private entity and we have to take into account what is happening on the market, because no one will help us.
However, Rafał Kosecki explains that audits carried out at the beginning of the year indicate the possibility of reducing rates. — It will definitely be less, not by 50 percent, because that is impossible. We would have to close the company and cease operations, however, he reserves.
