“Peace must be on Ukraine's terms.” Von der Leyen and Costa arrived in Kyiv on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion

Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga met the European officials.

“In Kyiv for the tenth time since the start of the war. To reaffirm that Europe is unwaveringly supporting Ukraine financially, militarily and in this harsh winter. To underscore our continued commitment to Ukraine's just struggle. And to send a clear signal to both the Ukrainian people and the aggressor: we will not yield until peace is restored. Peace must be on Ukraine's terms,” von der Leyen wrote.

“Four years of an unjust war of aggression. Four years of unshakable Ukrainian courage. Four years of unwavering support from Europe. One common decision: to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. That is why we are here today in Kyiv,” Koshta added.

“February 24, 2022 forever divided the history of Europe into “before” and “after”. It is symbolic that on this day the leaders of the EU are with us,” Sibiga wrote in X.
