The judges of the Iași Court sentenced Andrei Beucă to life imprisonment, after, in April 2025, he attacked his ex-wife with a hammer, then set her on fire, just a few days after he had been released from prison. Taken to the hospital in a very serious condition, the woman died less than a week later.
“Sentencing the defendant Beucă Andrei Cosmin to life imprisonment, for committing the crime of qualified murder”, is the decision of the Iasi Court. The decision of the Iaşi Court is not final, and can be contested within ten days of communication, reports News.ro.
To this sentence, five years of imprisonment are added for aggravated robbery, given that, after hitting and setting fire to his ex-wife, the man took her bag containing his mobile phone and several personal items.
Until a final sentence is pronounced, Andrei Beucă remains in preventive detention.

On the morning of April 14, 2025, Andrei Beucă waited for his ex-wife in front of the block where she lived, hit her in the head countless times with a hammer, then poured gasoline on her and set her on fire, after which he took her purse containing her mobile phone and several personal items.

Daniela, the ex-wife of Andrei Beucă, was transported to the hospital in a very serious condition, with multiple fractures on the face, a complex trauma and with burns on 80% of the body surface. The woman died in hospital less than a week after the incident.
