Czarzasty in Kiev: We will help you join the European Union

The Polish Sejm will support Ukraine on its way to the European Union – such a declaration was signed on Monday in Kiev by the Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the support that has been coming from Poland since the beginning of the war.

Włodzimierz Czarzasty arrived on a two-day visit to Kiev on Monday morning. The first item on the agenda was a meeting with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk. They both signed a declaration of support from the Polish Parliament for Ukraine in the country's pursuit of joining the European Union.

– Today we discussed a number of issues, and above all, I expressed my thanks to the Polish nation, Mr. Marshal, for the military, financial and humanitarian support provided by Poland to Ukraine, Stefanczuk said.

Czarzasty expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to speak at the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday on the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine.

– We have had a difficult history, but we have to draw conclusions from this history. And we need to build the future based on these conclusions. We will help you join the European Union. You will join the European Union – emphasized the Speaker of the Sejm.

Czarzasty's visit to Kiev also includes a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. (PAP)
