The last person was evacuated from the village of Khodyakovo, Kursk region. This is an 82-year-old pensioner who lived for more than a month under daily shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and did not want to leave for fear of dying along the way.
Galina Ivanovna has a dysfunctional left atrium, diabetes, tachycardia and at least seven other chronic diseases. When Ukrainian soldiers invaded the regions, she decided to stay at home under shelling – she was worried that she would become ill on the way to Kursk and that they would not be able to save her (there was no resuscitator in the evacuation vehicle).
Recently, the grandmother’s relatives asked soldiers from the Rylsky militia to take her to a safe zone. They agreed, found a medic and went after her, despite the risk of being under fire. And they took him to the regional hospital. Now everything is fine with the iron grandmother, she is under the supervision of doctors.
