FCSB will play on Monday, February 23, from 20:00, one of the last “final” for access to the play-off, against the last ranked, Metalloglobus. At the pre-game press conference, Elias Charalambous, the coach of the Romanian champions, stormed off and sent a harsh message regarding the criticism of the team.

The red-blues have three legs left to play in the regular season and still hope to catch the play-offs, although they are in 10th place. One of the decisive matches is against last-placed Metaloglobus, and FCSB must win to stay on the books and not miss the play-offs for the first time since the introduction of this format in the 2015/16 season.

Elias Charalambous, before FCSB – Metaloglobus: “What does shame mean?”

At the press conference, the coach was asked if he was ashamed of the place occupied by FCSB:

Shame? What does shame mean? Shame on those who steal or do wrong. When you work and are fair, you should never be ashamed. Maybe the results are not what you want, but 'shame' is a very serious word. You have to do some really bad things to be ashamed of yourself.

Sometimes things go well, sometimes not. Of course, the team was not supposed to be in this position, but we will fight for the chances we have. We brought the team into this situation, we will try to get it out”, said Elias Charalambous, according to digisport.ro.
