Russian army aimed at Ukraine's water supply system at night – Zelensky

The head of state said that Russian troops launched almost 50 missiles into Ukraine, including 22 ballistic ones, as well as 297 drones of various types. A significant part of the air targets were shot down, Zelensky said.

“This time, the targets for the Russians were not only energy facilities, but also logistics, including railway facilities, and water supply infrastructure in cities,” the president said.

He added that at the conference call they discussed in detail with representatives of the regions that protection against Russian attacks should be scaled up and quickly take into account changes in Russian tactics.

“In the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region, a church was damaged due to a Russian strike. In some other regions, there was damage to ordinary residential buildings. Wherever necessary, assistance is provided to the victims,” the president emphasized.

Zelensky also said that he had instructed the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense to send additional forces to protect the sky in the Sumy region, where the day before a Russian drone deliberately attacked an ambulance. As a result of the strike, according to the president, three people were killed.

“Russians should feel the consequences for every such strike, and in all border and front-line areas it should be felt that protection against Russian drones is increasing,” Zelensky added.
