Louis Munteanu was transferred by DC United from CFR Cluj during the mercato period this winter, the amount being 6 million euros. The Romanian international signed a contract valid for 3 and a half years with the MLS team.
Louis Munteanu would arrive at CFR Cluj in 2024, after the club from Gruia paid over two million euros to Fiorentina. In the Transylvanian shirt, the striker played 63 matches, during which he scored 28 goals and provided 9 decisive assists.
Louis Munteanu also has 4 selections for the first representative of the Romanian national team, for which he has already scored two goals. Munteanu represents one of Mircea Lucescu's options for attack, with a view to the qualifying round for this year's World Championship, organized in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
In just two stages, on March 7, Louis Munteanu's team will face Inter Miami, a team that includes players such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez or Rodrigo De Paul.
