The notification regarding the disappearance was made on January 24 at the Ulmeni Rural Police Section 2 by the woman's mother. Following the checks, the police determined that Mina Florentina lived in cohabitation with a man from the same locality, who stated that he had not seen her since January 16, reports the local press.

According to official data, the woman was about 1.70 meters tall, weighed around 60 kilograms and had an athletic build. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a gray blouse, black trousers and blue sneakers. The investigators also stated that she did not have a mobile phone or social media accounts, aspects that made the search considerably more difficult.

During the search operations, several operational structures were mobilized – police, gendarmes, firefighters and border police – but without result until February 19, when the lifeless body was found in the lake area.

The criminal file is handled by the prosecutors, who continue the investigations to establish exactly the circumstances in which the death occurred.
