“I urge everyone who is still in Iran to leave immediately, under no circumstances should you go to this country,” Donald Tusk told the press, adding that the possibility of an open conflict is “very real”.

“In a few hours, in about 12 or in a few tens of hours, no one will be able to guarantee evacuation possibilities. I urge you to take this very seriously”the Polish Prime Minister said, according to polskieradio.

In parallel, the United States has deployed an impressive naval and air force in the Middle East, which analysts interpret as a preparation for possible strikes against Iran.

US President Donald Trump, who ordered airstrikes in June last year, has repeatedly threatened Tehran with military intervention if negotiations on Iran's nuclear program fail to reach an agreement.

In recent days, the US military has carried out an unprecedented mobilization in the region: two aircraft carriers, including the world's largest, the USS Gerald R. Ford, a dozen warships and hundreds of fighter jets have been sent to the Middle East.

More than 150 cargo flights also carried weapons and ammunition to US bases in the region.

In response, Iran staged military exercises in the Strait of Hormuz, temporarily restricting maritime traffic, signaling possible global economic consequences in the event of a conflict. The strait is a strategic route through which about 20% of the world's oil passes.
