Bucharest, where it snowed heavily during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, will host two matches from the 28th stage: the derby Rapid – DynamoSaturday, 20:30, and the epilogue of the round, FCSB – Metaloglobus, Monday, 20:00. Both matches take place at the National Arena.

The first question marks, in Galati and Botoșani. “But we don't want to postpone the matches”

Contacted by GSP, Justine STEFANthe general secretary of the League, first talks about the first matches of the stage, the ones on Friday:

“At the moment, the weather is causing problems in Galati and Botoșani. I understand that the weather will improve in Galati, but in Botoșani it is possible, according to the weather forecast, to snow again on Friday”.

“The nocturnal in Slobozia also needs to be adjusted. People are making every effort, with utility climbers, military tent”, continued the LPF official.

We don't want to postpone matches because the schedule is already quite complicated.

The decision to start the match will belong to the referee, and if it cannot be played, the match will be played, according to the regulations, the next day. I am convinced that everyone makes efforts to play and I thank them in this way”, added Justin Ștefan, for GSP.ro.

“Convertible” Arena

Normally, the roof of the National Arena had to be pulled in the context of weather conditions. But that is not possible.

The retractable roof, which cost 20 million euros, has not worked for any matches since December 2020 and is to be repaired by Bucharest City Hall.
