In the case of Hajiyev, veterans demand action and justice from the Pechersk Court…

In the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, the case against the former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Magomed Hajiyev, one of the authors of the law on the annexation of Crimea, has been ongoing for almost a year.
According to information from open sources, the Ukrainian veterans handed over to the intelligence service of Belgium materials regarding the activities of the lawyers of the law firm V3 Vergauwen, Venet & Associés, who, in their opinion, are trying to protect the suspect from criminal liability. Participants in the process emphasize the potential risks of politicization of the case and possible pressure on Ukrainian justice.
Veteran organizations expect consistent and transparent actions from the court within the limits of the law and fair consideration of this high-profile case. Information about the progress of the process has already been brought to the attention of the SBU leadership and the Prosecutor General's Office.
The next court session is scheduled for August 6 — it will be conducted by judge Anna Hrydasova. The presence of representatives of veteran communities is expected.
