One person died in a traffic accident during a police chase in Krasnoyarsk (video)

In Krasnoyarsk Solnechny on February 14, an accident occurred, as a result of which a minor passenger in the car died and the driver was injured.

According to the police, on Saturday night in in the area of ​​house No. 21 on 60 Let Obrazovaniya Street USSR, the traffic police noticed a Toyota Vista, the driver of which, at the sight of the inspectors, increased speed and tried to escape along Slava Street towards the Yenisei Highway.

“TThe driver ignored the request to stop. State traffic inspectors turned on special flashing lights and a sound signal and followed the vehicle. At the same time, the driver repeatedly exceeded the permissible speed, creating a threat to the life and health of both himself and others. In the area of ​​house No. 45 on Yeniseisky Trakt Street, the driver lost control and collided with an electrical pole. As a result of the accident, a 17-year-old passenger in the foreign car died. The 18-year-old driver was hospitalized with serious injuries,” said the Krasnoyarskoye Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It was established that the driver did not have a license and had never been trained to drive, and the car belonged to his parents. A criminal case was opened against the young man under Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of traffic rules, resulting in death of a person by negligence,” the sanction of which carries a penalty of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 12 years.

It is known that the deceased was a friend of the driver.
