“Scandalous behavior”
It turns out that the Polish 2050 authorities did not know about the case pending in court. Or at least some of them.
— All our candidates in the 2023 Sejm elections completed surveys in which they answered whether they had any court cases, pending criminal proceedings, or whether they had been convicted. Mr. Romowicz concealed his fact that he has a case in court, says Paulina Henning-Kloska, deputy head of the party and minister of climate and environment, in an interview with us.
She admits that she learned about her party colleague's conviction from today's article on our website. “His behavior described in the judgment is absolutely scandalous,” he says.
Henning-Kloska on the “Pełczyńska-Nałęcz resolution”
According to the ministry, Romowicz's sentence should mean the end of his career in PL2050. — He should be removed from the party, and even more so from the club's management, he emphasizes.
— However, the truth is that we now know why Mrs. Katarzyna Pełczyńska was in such a hurry to adopt the resolution of the National Council blocking changes in the parliamentary club, of which Mr. Romowicz is vice-chairman. As you can see, it protects a person convicted by a final judgment as the first vice-chairman of the club – he sums up.
We sent questions about Bartosz Romowicz and the verdict convicting him to the head of Poland 2050, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. However, we did not receive an answer.
