PKP Intercity lowers prices. We can travel by Pendolino train for a few dozen zlotys. It's all because of the entry of a Czech competitor, Regiojet, into Poland – we read in “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”.

The entry of competition always forces us to make some move. PKP Intercity decided to lower ticket prices. You can travel by Pendolino train from PLN 29. The company is scheduled to launch further connections soon.

The daily indicates that Regiojet ticket prices are competitive. In the second class, the price ranges from PLN 27 to PLN 39. What's more, the Czech carrier offers us more and more routes. Since the beginning of this year, trains have been running several times a day from Warsaw to Tricity and from Warsaw to Krakow, and from February also from Warsaw to Poznań. A Przemyśl-Frankfurt connection and an increase in the offer on the Kraków-Prague route are planned for March.

“Promotion” campaign from the beginning of the year

PKP Intercity is discounting ticket prices from January 2026. In a January statement, the company PKP Intercity announced that as part of the promotion, passengers can buy cheaper second-class tickets for domestic journeys. The offer covers all the carrier's trains – regardless of the route and train category, and prices have been reduced by at least 40 percent.

Promotional tickets were only available for a few days – at the end of the month – but travelers can still use travel at reduced prices. In the case of category trains IC and TLK the offer is valid from February 2 to 27. However, for compositions EIC and Pendolino the promotion lasts from February 2 to March 7 – we read in wpfinanse.pl
