Unrealistically, “cloud” buns turn out tastier than grandma’s – a quick recipe

For those who want to return to childhood and enjoy the warmth of home-baked goods, buns according to this recipe will be a real find. They amaze with their softness and unique taste, which will remind you of carefree days. Try making them yourself and surprise your loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • Milk – 500 ml.
  • Wheat flour – 1 kg.
  • Dry yeast – 11 g.
  • Chicken egg – 2 pieces
  • Butter – 200 g.
  • Sugar – 150 g.
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

Cooking instructions:

  1. Heat the milk to a temperature of about 35-40 degrees (it should be warm, but not hot).
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and dry yeast to warm milk, mix well.
  3. Leave the mixture for 10-15 minutes in a warm place so that the yeast is activated and foam begins to form.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the wheat flour, remaining sugar and salt.
  5. Pour in the yeast mixture.
  6. Add 2 eggs and melted butter.
  7. Mix all the ingredients well, then start kneading the dough with your hands until it becomes smooth and elastic. If necessary, add a little flour to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands.
  8. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl.
  9. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel or cling film and leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until it has doubled in size.
  10. Punch down the risen dough to remove excess air and turn it out onto a lightly floured work surface.
  11. Divide the dough into equal parts and form them into buns of the desired size.
  12. Place the buns on a baking sheet, leaving enough space between them.
  13. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  14. Before baking, brush the buns with beaten egg to obtain a golden crust.
  15. Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Innings:

  • Remove the finished buns from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
  • Serve warm or completely cool.
