According to the information sent by the Infotraffic Center within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, the fog causes visibility to drop below 200 meters and, in some places, even below 50 meters, in the counties of Argeș, Bacău, Botoșani, Buzău, Călărași, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Ialomița, Ilfov, Iaşi, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Teleorman, Vâlcea and Vaslui, as well as in the Capital.

In these areas, the road is mostly wet.

Visibility is reduced below 200 meters and on several important highways, including A0 Centura Bucharest, A1 Bucharest–Pitești, A2 Bucharest–Constanța, A3 Bucharest–Brașov, A4 Ovidiu–Agigea and A7 Ploiești–Adjud. On these sections, the road is wet and the temperatures remain positive.

Meteorologists have issued a yellow fog code, valid until 09:00, for hundreds of localities in several counties.

In this context, the police advise drivers to inform themselves before leaving about the weather conditions and possible traffic restrictions, to use the appropriate lighting systems, to keep a safe distance between vehicles and to adapt the speed to the road conditions.

Drivers are also advised to avoid risky overtaking, to signal any maneuver in time, to adopt a preventive behavior in traffic and to respect all traffic rules, in order to reduce the risk of accidents.
