We must be ready to fight and build hard power, because it is the currency of our times, said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Saturday during the International Security Conference (MSC) in Munich.

– We must build our hard power because it is the currency of our times – appealed the head of the British government. – We must be able to stop aggression and be ready to fight if necessary – added the politician.
At the same time, he confirmed the UK's obligations under Art. 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty regarding assistance to NATO allies in the event of a possible attack. He added that his country will send troops to the North Atlantic this year.
Starmer also said that the UK must – six years after Brexit – explore areas in which it could move closer to the European Union's single market.
– We want to cooperate to bring about a generational change in the field of industrial cooperation in the field of defense – said the Prime Minister. According to him, this involves “reconsidering closer economic integration.”
– Deeper economic integration is in the interest of all of us – emphasized the politician, speaking at the annual conference, which will last until Sunday. (PAP)
